HCF Funds

The Hudson Community Foundation strengthens our community by providing strategic grants twice a year, in the spring and fall. Below is a list of HCF Funds that serve as the source for these important grants. Learn more about applying for a grant here.

Donations support our operational costs and ensure the continued sustainability of our organization. Over our 25-year legacy of improving the quality of life in Hudson, we have supported 60 local nonprofits that address the needs of our community, as well as various initiatives and organizations.

We focus on two main objectives: first, we provide direct support to nonprofit organizations based in Hudson that serve our community; and second, we collaborate with individuals to help them achieve their philanthropic goals. Over 200 families have established funds with us, including Donor Advised Funds (DAFs), scholarship funds, and special-purpose funds.

Seven Easy Ways to Give

• Credit Card: Give online by credit card here.
• Mail Check:  Make checks payable to Hudson Community Foundation and mention in the memo line the purpose or fund desired. Mail to: Hudson Community Foundation, P.O. Box 944, Hudson, OH 44236
• Cash Donation: Cash donations can be dropped off at our Hudson Community Foundation office. Our office is located in Downtown Hudson in the historic Baldwin House. The address is 49 East Main Street, Hudson Ohio 44236. Our offices are open 9am-4pm, M-F.
• Transfer from DAF:  If you have a Donor-Advised Fund, you can simply transfer a gift from your fund. 
• Give from IRA:  Donors aged 70 1/2 and older may direct contributions from an IRA to our Hudson Community Foundation Annual Fund, excluding them from taxable income (up to $108,000), and counting them towards the required minimum distribution. The IRS provision excludes contributions to donor-advised funds or private foundations, this is a great way to take advantage of this tax benefit while supporting local nonprofits. Learn more here.

• Matching Gifts:  Don’t forget to check if your employer makes matching gifts! Some companies will double or triple your contribution, increasing the impact of your gift.
